Visited this hotel for 5 days in August. Rooms and bathrooms especially were very basic indeed of modernisation. Towels were to be thrown away, so old they felt like sandpaper. Would not use the Shower mat to clean my garage floor. Just felt dirty throughout. Rooms were tatty. Pool area was clean however a supplementary charge to use it as were pool towels Staff were generally rude and too busy talking with each other or on their cellphones. Nothing left to eat for Breakfast at 0900 to be told by the server that we should get up earlier if we want more options (we are on holiday) When I went to pay, I was told what a good room rate I had got and I couldn’t say that we hadn’t been treated well!! Never again!!

A lot of money for bad service, noisy, dirty and damaged rooms.

In the bathroom 50% of the tiles are broken and party badly repaired. In many areas you find mould. During the night you can't open the windows without being annoyed by the central AC.
Breakfast was not available and after some time they served a pain au Chocolat and one coffee. Other customers told us that they didn't get any breakfast.

My husband and I have stayed at the Hotel Venusia twice and each time we felt like we were part of an extended family! We stayed in Room #114 both times while visiting friends in the area. Our room was very large with a balcony looking over the front of the hotel. The staff is very warm and welcoming, especially Filomena and Milena, who accommodated special requests that we made. The food in the restaurant is excellent! Venosa is a very pretty, historic town with very few tourists - I think we were the only ones! We look forward to a return visit!

This was our third visit to the hotel and it truly feels like a home away from home! We always enjoy the meals here, especially the pasta and seafood dishes! A brand new pool is in the process of completion and will be beautiful! Venosa is a historic, friendly, and very walkable city, and the Hotel Venusia is within easy walking distance from the sights, cafes, and shops. Best of all, Filomena, Milena and Teresa give all guests their special brand of hospitality!

This large characterful hotel in Venosa, with large rooms and ensuite bathroom. A very good restaurant and lounge areas, with a nice outside eating area for breakfast also. The place has a nice holiday feel. Plenty of parking and good staff.
