A huge disappointment with this hotel. From the very beginning, the kitchenette that was supposed to be included in our reserved room turned out to be unavailable. After a long journey, our tired children were unable to have a warm meal in the room. To make matters worse, we were informed that the kitchenette is an additional paid service, which was not mentioned in the room description. This feels completely unfair and misleading.

Our disappointment didn't end there. We arrived as a family of four, but the hotel only provided three sets of cutlery. Additionally, there was no clothes drying rack in the room, and we had to ask for one at the reception. The air conditioning broke down several times, and I had to repeatedly ask the reception for assistance. The entertainment, which we expected to be more family-oriented, seemed to focus more on adults rather than children, leaving us even more dissatisfied.

Overall, our experience at Cala Saracena Resort was highly disappointing, and although the staff tried to be polite, it often felt artificial. We were very let down by the entire stay, especially since we were misled by the positive reviews, which did not reflect the reality.

This resort is absolutely not a four star. I have worked in the travel industry and travelled extensively and can hints at that this hotel is more like a two star. The rooms are very old, bathrooms awful with a broken tiles in the shower which cut my child’s foot more than once when showing, and an awful strong smell of drainage which flooded the room continuously. The restaurant is like a school canteen, it is in the basement of the hotel and is dark and busy. The buffet food is not too bad-lots if fresh vegetables but the food served is cold and tiny portions. The wine is definitely watered down and very bad. The swimming pool is tiny , with only 8 sunbeds, the pool water is dirty and cloudy, and again, broken pool tiles which could cut your feet. There is again the awful smell of sewerage at the pool. ||We had a sea view room , the balcony was our saving grace, even though the balcony looks over a main noisy road and fairground. Other balconies I saw looked out at over an old demolished building. ||The only positive for us we’re the animation team , Daniele worked very hard in entertaining guests and his team were very kind with my daughter ( making bracelets , doing hair) .

Can't believe how great this place was. Because it's a resort we were expecting something overcrowded and cheap but this is definitely not the case! Rooms are spacious clean practical with all the facilities you could need. Big highlight brass was the staff-super helpful even though they didn't speak great English and our Italian is awful we manage to communicate thanks to their great patience and amenability. Breakfast was really nice and comprehensive and sitting around the poor just stop so tranquil and sophisticated.

Before booking 4 days at Cala Saracena I read many reviews.||For us (2 adults, 1 child 4,5 yrs) this place is fantastic:|* the pool |* the restaurant (fresh sallad, different plates to choose from, excellent service -only negative side is the coffee which you get from an automatic machine and there is no warm milk besides the "milk" from the machine)|* animation team (they all do an excellent job both during the daily activities and night shows. Thumbs up for everybody in the team). They had many problems with the microphones and sound which didn't work well. Get some new tech stuff for these great people!|* the apartment was nice and clean and had everything (including places to put your stuff, good fridge, ok kitchen and great air condition. It was not a problem for us that the AC was only available from 14-17 and 22-08)||What we didn't like and what changes the rating from 5 to 4 stars is:|* the music during the day was way too loud and it was almost impossible to have a conversation. Also at the nightly shows the sound was too loud and we could easily hear it in the apartment.|* to go to the beach the hotel has a mini bus going several times a day. One day we wanted to take the bus home from Agri Beach Eden. It was supposed to go around 16.10 but it went almost half an hour too late!||Talking about beaches there are several nice beaches to choose from. Most of them are within walking distance. There is a small nice sand beach 5 min to the left of the hotel with a great restaurant behind the beach. The Pescoluse beach is of course great!! Even though it is rather small and crowded.||To sum up, I can recommend staying at Cala Saracena.||

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura la prima settimana di settembre. È stata una bellissima scoperta sia per la posizione molto comoda E che permette di raggiungere facilmente tante spiagge. Il servizio navetta è ottimo, permettendo di risparmiare il costo dei parcheggi in alcune spiagge. Ottimo anche il parcheggio adiacente all'hotel è incluso nel prezzo. La sera c'è sempre il luna park o le bancarelle, oltre all'intrattenimento dello staff animazione. Un punto di forza la cucina, ottimo cibo preparato con cura e passione. I camerieri di sala e il maitre molto cordiali e disponibili. Servizio eccellente anche alla reception e ai dipendenti delle pulizie. Tanta cura degli spazi, mai una foglia o una cosa fuori posto. Personale attento fa la differenza perché veramente sempre tutto pulito. Ci torneremo volentieri siamo stati troppo bene!
