Ho conosciuto Michele lo scorso anno quando mi ha organizzato un bellissimo tour tra la Valle d'Itria e il Salento. Michele organized a tour for the 4 of us seniors around Puglia in mid-June 2024. He is a great guide and knows his history very well. He helped us to understand the history of Italy so well.

The drivers he had were all very professional and courteous. We visited Ostuni, Lecce, Otranto, Gallipoli, Alberobello, Polignano, Matera and Bari. It was a Food & Wine tour – everything was well organized, hotel, food & wine was great. We look forward to our next Italy trip with you.

There is no better place to collect life energy than Italy, and Puglia has become our absolute favorite. To visit this region in the right way is to use the services of "Apulia Slow travel". Two years ago, we toured the "Italian heel" with them. That was beautiful experience, so we contacted the agency again. And as we expected, Michele used all his magical powers and organized another beautiful week. Let's start with food impressions. From the fantastic suggestions of authentic restaurants of various categories, to local places for "street food", he showed us once again that this region rightly holds the title of the best regional cuisine in Italy. With the help of Michele, we now understand Italy even better. In addition to this, we had the opportunity to test olive oil at a local producer, buy food directly from producers, to visit Nonne who make local pasta on the streets of the old town of Bari. He organized a tour "Dolphin watching" in the Ionian Sea. We were lucky to see flocks of dolphins. We had a chance to swim in dazzling blue sea, far from the shore and any crowds. Michele also made sure to introduce us to the great historical and cultural heritage of this region. Visits to museums (Taranto archeological museum is for a bucket list), Egnatia archeological park, are just a part of what Michele can explain to you and teach you about the history and cultural influences in this part of Italy today. We returned much richer because of the experiences and knowledge we received in just one week. Perhaps the crown of it all was a visit to the city of Matera. Not only did we get to visit this city which is on the UNESCO list of cultural heritage, but Michele’s enthusiasm to show us as much as possible even at 39 degrees Celsius (without shade) left us breathless. And let's not forget. "Apulia slow travel" provided us with accommodation in an authentic house Trullo, which is a symbol of this part of Italy. All in all, we were once again convinced of the professionalism, enthusiasm and wealth of information that "Apulia slow travel” can provide. Complete authenticity and kindness, which is rarely encountered. If you love Italy, and choose Apulia Slow travel, you can't go wrong.

A group of eight (mainly seniors) visited Puglia from Hungary. Michele showed us everythig that was possible, and told us all the stroies, historical and cultural details about the splendid places we've visited. He helped us every way and added a lot to the tour program.
